Revelation 21: The NEW JERUSALEM
[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
After the millennial Reign of our Lord and His Saints and after the Great White Throne Judgement of the lost.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Christ’s Bride who died for His Witness will live in this Great City of New Jerusalem. Since the first centuries extreme persecutions through the entire 2000 year church age.
New Jerusalem:
Satan hates God because of MAN. He envies God and He counterfeits God in religion, trinity, seal or mark and City of God. WHY, because he wants to pull man away from a relationship with God.

Why? Because of PRIDE, Satan hates God and man because God made man in HIS OWN Image. Satan wants man to worship him and not God. Satan wants to be God and to be worshiped as God.
The Seal of God makes man complete and PERFECT while Perfection is the number 3, completion is the number seven (777).
The counterfeit seal of God is the mark of the beast making man incomplete for eternity as referred to by God in Chapter 13 as 666. This is the number of fallen man. This counterfeit seal of Satan will eternally damn men whom receive it to be separated from the Creator for eternity. To suffer torment in the Lake of Fire, weeping and wailing and grinding their teeth in pain, sorrow and torment for ever and ever in utter and complete darkness.
Mystery Babylon – Satan’s counterfeit of the New Jerusalem: The False Prophet's Vatican is referred to as heaven on earth and the pope as Vicar of Christ or Christ’s direct representative.
Only those who believe after our Lord's Ministry are His BRIDE: Only those whose place their life and trust in Christ will occupy New Jerusalem. No Old Testament saints will live there. ONLY THOSE MARTYRED FOR CHRIST DURING THE CHURCH AGE WILL LIVE THERE. This includes those whom willingly lost their interest in this fake, temporary world to follow Christ out of pureness of heart.
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
**These are more indictments against the organized and commercial "churches" all under the influence of the Mother or Harlots and Abominations on the earth. God wanted His Church to spread house to house, not to halt and come back to a tabernacle on earth lead by unbelieving, Nicolaitan rulers.

[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
During the Millennium, there will still be physical death even though the curse of sin has been subdued due to our Lord's Physical Presence on it. However once the Lord destroys the old earth by fire at the battle of Gog/Magog after His Millennial Reign, physical lifespans will be as Adam and Eve were originally made. This total absence of sin will eliminate all disease, illness and decay. After the Millennium God makes all things new and there shall be no more death or pain or crying. All memories from the old earth will be wiped away along with our tears of remembrance of those whom we did not reach for Him.
[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
***Remember after the Mother of Harlots is destroyed, the True Words of God return.
[6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
His Eternal Word! Is the Living Water and the Bread of Life.
[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

[10] And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Occupied only by those martyred in their hearts for Christ since His earthly Ministry.
[11] Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
[12] And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
[13] On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
[14] And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
[15] And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
[16] And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
[17] And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
[18] And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
[19] And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
[20] The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
NOTE the similarity of New Jerusalem's Foundational Stones to the stones God commanded in the creation of the high-priest's Breastplate made for Aaron, the first high priest of Israel under Moses.
[21] And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Note the similarity between the New Jerusalem and Satan’s counterfeit on earth during the church age (St. Peter’s basilica in Vatican City Rome).
[22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
[23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
[24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
These are the new nations formed, reformed and reorganized because of the final battle of Gog and Magog described after His 1000 year Reign.
[25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
[26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
**Take special note here: The glory of these nations refers to God's Principle and mandate separating peoples of the earth by language, race and nation. Remember in our previous Chapter studies during the last seven years prior to Armageddon, the world becomes one again united against God. This same sinful phenomenon occurred prior to the flood of Noah's day and also soon after at Babel. After our Lord's separation of nations (sheep/goat) and His 1000 year reign Satan once again forms a global coalition of these nations against God and are destroyed by fire as discussed in Chapter 20.
Glory in this context means their uniquely different characteristics such as culture and language similar to His explanation of the glory of sun, the moon and the stars in I Corinthians.
[27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The dimensions of New Jerusalem are given in exacting detail along with the appearance, etc. The dimensions are equal to the state of Colorado as a cube. Imagine a square city this size and then try to fit into it all those whom vainly profess belief living today (just today mind you). Do you think they would fit? Maybe if stacked like cordwood they would but not with their own mansions. MUCH LESS every "professed" believer since Christ. Since it was described so exactly and there is no other mention of where we will be, singular mention in Scripture leads us to this Truth. One must be willing to sacrifice their life on earth and be murdered (or willing to be without hesitation) for the witness of Christ to live in the New Jerusalem. Keep in mind that this number of residents in New Jerusalem certainly includes all followers of Christ with purity of heart since Creation. God Judges us all based on the thoughts and intents of the heart. We can fool each other all day long but no one can hide the thoughts and intents of their hearts from God.
